Tom Schindler, President of the Board for Chippewa County Rural Heritage, called the meeting to order at 7:12 pm on Sunday June 6, 2010 at Valley Tavern 14515 State Highway 40 Bloomer, WI. Members of the board present were: Tom Schindler-President, Gerald Eder-Vice-President, Tom Short-Treasurer, and Victoria Trinko-Secretary. Advisory Board: David Kelm Sr., Lyle Prince, and Jim Satter. Other participants- Jana Prince and Rose Sundstrom.
David Kelm Sr. made a motion to approve and place on file the May 19, 2010 minutes. Gerald Eder seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Jerry Eder made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Lyle Prince seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0.

UPDATE OF SPRING EVENT:

List of materials- we had a tube of hamburger [10 lbs.] and 200 dinner rolls left.
Suggestions for improvements-cash for Jeff/Joe Schindler for usage of the land, hot chocolate with water from a coffee pot, moving the location up the hill to a level spot for parking on all sides of the tent and a place for vendors, auction signs from Dollar General as additional signs, maps or signs placed on the route, call members a few days before the event who have signed up for committees to ask if they will be attending the event, mats or carpets for the serving area, and rubber gloves [size-large] for servers.

FALL RIDE:
Will be on Sept. 25, 2010, leaving at 10:00 am and return 2:00 pm with the possible route being to Bloomer with a lunch at the North Park.
PARADES: There was sign-up for displays at the Northwestern Wisconsin District Fair, [the secretary will send in the papers to Peggy Richards], the New Auburn Parade will be July 18, the Bloomer Parade August 2nd, and the Colfax Parade in September.
LAND PURCHASE: Gerald Eder will talk with Jenson Bros. and Bonnie Dachel about a possible land contract on 80 acres.
LLC: Jana Prince will investigate the options for an LLC.

ELECTION OF VICE-PRESIDENT & SECRETARY:
Tom Short made a motion to place Rose Sundstrom on the advisory board. Gerald Eder seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0. Tom Schindler nominated Rose Sundstrom for Vice-President. Tom Short seconded the nomination. Rose Sundstrom was elected 7-0. Rose Sundstrom nominated Victoria Trinko for secretary. Tom Schindler seconded the nomination. Victoria Trinko was elected 7-0. Tom Short made a motion to remove Tom Yakesh from the advisory board. Jim Satter seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0. Rose Sundstrom made a motion to place Gerald Eder on the advisory board. Lyle Prince seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0.

FUTURE ITEMS & AGENDA:

Next meeting will be Sunday June 27, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Trout Creek Inn
