“Classic Tractor & Implement Club”

Tom Schindler, President of the Board for Chippewa County Rural Heritage, called the meeting to order at 7:20 pm on Sunday January 24, 2010 at Trout Creek Inn 2170 County Highway A Bloomer, WI. Members of the board present were: Tom Schindler-President, Gerald Eder-Vice-President, Tom Short-Treasurer, and Victoria Trinko-Secretary. Advisory Board: David Kelm Sr., James Satter, Lyle Prince, Paul Krumenauer, and Sonny Urban. Other participants- Jana Prince, George & Peggy Richards.
James Satter made a motion to approve and place on file the January 3, 2010 minutes. Gerald Eder seconded the motion. The motion carried 8-0.
TREASURER’S REPORT: James Satter made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Gerald Eder seconded the motion. The motion carried 8-0.
RECAP CHRISTMAS PARTY: 87 people were served.
HATS, BUTTONS, RIBBONS: Discussion of ordering 6 dozen hats, 75 buttons and possible 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons. An amount for the price of the hats will be investigated. Further action was postponed until the next meeting.
PURCHASE OF SAFE: This will be postponed until the next meeting.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST: This item was postponed until the next meeting which will be at the Valley Tavern.
BUSINESS CARD: The logo will be emailed to Paul Krumenauer at krumenau@cray.com.
SPONSORSHIPS: The Board of Directors and the Advisory Board talked with many people about placing ads on the website. At this time, 8 people have consented to placing an ad on the website. Proposed buttons on the website were sponsorship or other sponsor list.
SPAGHETTI FEED: There was discussion of serving the spaghetti feed at the town hall vs. bar and having the spaghetti feed in conjunction with the fall ride in the grain bin after the tractor ride. Tom Schindler made a motion to have the spaghetti feed at the Fall Ride. James Satter seconded the motion. The motion carried 8-0. Paul Krumenauer will provide numbers for the production of a spaghetti feed.
6.Colfax Toy Show 7.Spring Event 8.Next meeting will be held on February 28, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Valley Tavern.
George & Peggy Richards would like to extend an invitation to CCRH to participate at the Northwestern Wisconsin State Fair on July 7-11, 2010. There would be no cost to CCRH and free passes for each tractor for all fair days plus vehicle parking. There would be possible tractor games/activities every day ie. a dynode, machinery to run [gravity box], possible tractor pull and/or lawn mower races. On Sunday afternoon, there would be a parade of power in front of the grandstand. There would be 24 hr security, extra lighting, and camping among the tractors. The tractors would be off the fairgrounds by Sunday of the fair. There is a website for Chippewa County State fair to register for a place or get a form from George Richards at 962-2238. George would like an estimate of the number of tractors and machinery to gauge the amount of needed space. There was an estimate of 15 tractors with 12 implements.
Gerald Eder will check on a table for CCRH at the Colfax Toy Show. Paul Krumenauer and David Kelm Sr. volunteered to attend the toy show.
