Tom Schindler, President of the Board for Chippewa County Rural Heritage, called the meeting to order at 7:17 pm on Sunday January 3, 2010 at Valley Tavern, 14515 State Highway 40 Bloomer, WI.  Members of the board present were: Tom Schindler-President, Gerald Eder-Vice-President, Tom Short-Treasurer, and Victoria Trinko-Secretary.  Advisory Board: David Kelm Sr., James Satter, and Lyle Prince.  Other participants- Jana Prince and Earl Hassemer.
Gerald Eder made a motion to approve and place on file the December 13, 2009 minutes.  James Satter seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0.  
TREASURER’S REPORT:    David Kelm Sr. made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report.  James Satter seconded the motion.  The motion carried 7-0.  The bill for the production of the calendar was paid to Katie Short.
WEBSITE:  Earl Hassemer presented information for the establishment of a website for CCRH.  There are two options:  [a] tilda website-CCRH would have their own website and address CCRH@bloomer.net where a person would have to pay the monthly fee of $10.00 plus a FTP account to access the website which would have unlimited space for minutes, agendas, upcoming events, for a total cost of $13.50 or [b] CCRH would have its own domain which would cost $25.00 monthly plus $35.00 yearly to retain the name of the website.  Metatags [words to attach that would link people to our website] would be included in the set up of the website.  Sponsors could be sought to place their name on the website monthly or yearly to help defray the cost of the website.  Lyle Prince made a motion to retain Earl Hassemer to set up a website and establish a button on the bloomer.net website.  David Kelm Sr. seconded the motion.  The motion carried 7-0.  Earl Hassemer would like the board to designate a design and/or buttons ie. agenda, meetings, newsletter, upcoming events, to aid him in setting up the website.  Victoria Trinko will email the newsletter to Earl as one of the items to be placed on the website. 
CALLING LIST:  Names from the registration list were divided among the board members for notification of the Christmas party informing people of the cost of the dinner -$12.50 for the meal including tax & tip from 7:00 – 10:00 pm on January 16, 2010 at Trout Creek Inn, menu items, free drink tickets for members, raffle, and to call for reservations by January 13, 2010.
CHRISTMAS PARTY:  A list of the committees will be available for people to sign up and 60 newsletters will be distributed.  Tom Short will donate a toy International Super M tractor for the raffle.  Other toy tractors may be included in the raffle. 
HATS, BUTTONS, RIBBONS: postponed until the next meeting.
PURCHASE OF SAFE:  This will be postponed until the next meeting. 
PANCAKE BREAKFAST:   A copy of the flier will be posted at the Christmas party.
BUSINESS CARD:  postponed until the next meeting.
SPONSORSHIPS:  postponed until the next meeting. 
SPAGHETTI FEED:  postponed until the next meeting.

  6. Next meeting will be held on January 24, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Trout Creek Inn.

ADJOURN:
James Satter made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:57 pm.   David Kelm Sr. seconded the motion.  The motion carried 7-0.
