Bloomer ~ Jump Rope Capital of the World
Bloomer lies on the shores of Lake Como and is the Gateway to the Blue Diamond Vacation Area. There are five parks in the city that offer picnic areas, shelters, playgrounds, horseshoe and tennis courts, ball fields and diamonds. There are several camping facilities in the surrounding area. Nearby is the Chippewa Moraine Ice Age Scientific Reserve Park & Interpretive Center which brings to life the story of Wisconsin’s glacial age. There are great places to lodge, eat, shop and golf. Also a variety of other businesses such as real estate, autos, campers, home furnishings, agriculture supplies, hardware, banks and gas stations. We have a hospital for any health care needs, a police department, ambulance service and volunteer fire department for your protection. We have three industrial development parks with several industrial buildings for sale or lease.
Bloomer’s Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Development Corporation work closely with the city government to create a healthy, stable environment for development to provide a future for our citizens and their children and grandchildren. We are located just 25 miles north of Interstate 94. Less than 100 miles East of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, 200 miles Northwest of Madison, WI and about 30 miles North of Eau Claire, WI.
